Academic

St Peter’s Preparatory School is non-selective yet, in 2017, thirteen of our Year 8 pupils sat the Exeter School entrance exam and all of them were offered places. Even more cause for celebration is that four of them achieved academic awards to Exeter School.

Four of our children also succeeded in passing the entrance examination to Colyton Grammar School and one to Torquay Boys’ Grammar School.

Furthermore, our twenty-seven Year 8 students have been offered twenty-three scholarships between them to senior schools including Blundell’s, Exeter School, Millfield, Stover School, Taunton School and Wellington School.

Children at St Peter’s study the following subjects:

Children are given the opportunity to learn in a variety of ways: through exploration and research; to break down subject boundaries and to acquire a mix of knowledge and skills.

According to our latest ISI Integrated inspection report:

The high quality of pupils’ achievement results from the excellence of teaching and the curriculum.
