The first House day of this academic year was a great success, raising over £300 for Devon Wildlife Trust.
There was an ‘animal cupcake competition’, which a huge number of children entered, producing some adorable cupcakes:
The overall winner was Rufus in Year 5, with his fantastic snake cake. Well done Rufus!
Other activities included:
- Guess the number of shrimps in the jar
- Guess the name of the greater horseshoe bat
- Raffle to win a bat box or an ant farm
The day finished with an assembly celebrating the work of the Devon Wildlife Trust, concentrating on the two projects that the money we raise the year will support: the greater horseshoe bat project and the River Otter beaver project.
