Starting School
I started St Peter's when I was 10 years old (Year 5) and I am now 13
and in Year 8. When I first came here I was pretty worred because
it way my first day, but I soon made friends and have learned to enjoy
school - although it is school!
Throughout the years I've been here, I've tried different sports and
academic subjects and have not done very well at all of them, but
during the time I tried them I enjoyed them greatly and discovered that
being bad at something is actually a great experience and prepares you
for other things in life.
Although we do netball, hockey and athletics, we also have a swimming
pool, which is always a laugh, and there's a tennis court, which is
great just to play a game and enjoy time with your friends.
You also get the chance to do weekly boarding, which I do as I live so
far away. It really makes me appreciate the time I spend with my
family, but boarding is fabulous as you get to know some of the younger
children and although they are younger and smaller you can still have
an enormous amount of fun.
The journey through St Peter's is extraordinary. You learn to cope
with the pressure of work, the ways of having fun and enjoying yourself
to the full, and just being the person you are and finding out the
person you will be in the future.
If I ever got the chance, I am quite sure that I would want to come back
and see everyone that has helped me to become the person I am now.
