support and encouragement which the boarding house gave Freddie last
term. He thoroughly enjoys this 'flexi' arrangement and it is
certainly one of St Peter's strengths at the moment".

The following are extracts taken from the recent boarding inspection, carried out by the Commission for Social Care in May 2006:
“the flexi
system has served us very well. St Peter’s
duty staff are helpful and committed. In
our experience a great deal of work and play is experienced between 5 and 8pm
which is why I opted for boarding. It
has also prepared him for increased independence in the future….my sons…could
not have had a better educational start than at St Peter’s”.
Of Housemaster, Chris Ball, one parent had the
following to say: “here is a professional
who…holds the welfare and happiness of they children in his heart”.
Of Matron, Hayley Carr, one parent observed that “in my experience she is always calm and
smiling and please to talk in person, or by phone, at any time. Frequently I have observed Hayley creating a
sense of well being within her new and younger charges”.
