St Peter’s School….is your children ready for a learning adventure?

Children in our Nursery and Reception learn through structured play in a happy, safe and secure environment. This provides all the opportunities they will need to develop the skills required to continue their learning journey through Reception into Year 1 and beyond.  From the start, our caring staff nurture the children as individuals, encouraging each one to become independent, creative, resourceful, and confident with a strong sense of community. 

Our youngest pupils benefit from small classes located in 28 beautiful acres overlooking the Exe estuary, which includes a designated Forest School area.  As part of St Peter’s Preparatory School, the girls and boys have access to all the music, IT and sports facilities that the school has to offer.  French, Music and PE lessons are taught by specialist subject teachers and we provide all pupils with nutritious, tasty lunches cooked on site, which they eat in the dining room.

St Peter’s Nursery is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday during term time, with morning and afternoon sessions available. We also provide affordable holiday care in the form of “Tadpoles” activities, which extends the school year.  Parents can benefit from the Early Years funding scheme and we accept employer vouchers to help working mums and dads with school fees.  We also offer a school bus service covering Exeter, the East Devon area (including Sidmouth, Honiton and Ottery St Mary) and the Teign Valley.
