St Peter's pupil chosen to star in TV comedy

St Peter's pupil, Oscar Killen, attended an audtion on Wednesday, 1 March for a part in a new Channel 5 children's TV programme called  "Demolition Man", and was picked from thousands from around the country to star in the slapstick comedy about the mishaps of a cheeky boy.

Oscar, who attends the Stage by Stage drama school in Exeter, follows in the footsteps of former St Peter's pupil Dominic Wood (Dick and Dom in da Bungalow) and will star alongside ex-Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan.  Oscar, for whom this is the first major part, plays one of his children in the series, a character called "The Naughty Boy".

We are naturally delighted for Oscar, who will have a private tutor on set each day to ensure that he does not fall behind with his studies.

Filming takes place around the Paignton area and is due to last for five weeks, starting in May.  Demolition Dad will be screened later this year.
