U13 Squash Team beat Millfield U15!

Congratulations to our Under 13 boys Squash team: Lyell Fuller, Ben Hancock, Joe Pyne, Richard Harvey and Ben French who beat Millfield U15 boys in a recent U15 league match.  Having beaten Exeter School and lost to Plymstock recently, St Peter's boys took on the Millfield U15 - there is no U13 league.

Lyell, (IAPS U11 Squash Champion, Devon U11 Squash Champion, and Devon U13 Squash Schools Champion,) was drawn again the No 3 U15 Egyptian Champion, to whom he lost after a brave contest.

Both Joe Pyne and Richard Harvey won their respective matches by winning all their games with Ben French losing out to very strong opposition.  It all came down to the wire in the final match with Ben Hancock pulling off an incredible 3-2 win, to secure the team's place in the knock out stages of the U15 National Squash Championships.

This is an incredible achievement for this young side and follows on from
another successful weekend in early October at the Devon Junior Squash Closed Event.  Jamie Telford won the Devon Junior U11’s title, his first county title.  Lyell Fuller won the Devon Junior U13’s title beating Joe Pyne in the Final, this is his second county title.

Needless to say, coach Mike Densham, is absolutely delighted by his team's performance and we are all very much looking forward to another exciting match, when could face Aylesbury Grammar School U15 side at the beginning of January.  St Peter's Prep School U13 side currently lies 2nd in the U15 league.
