Brainy Megan secures place in Junior Mastermind finals.
In April,
three Year 6 pupils, Thomas Packer, Toby Waterworth and Megan Haward, were invited to attend auditions
for BBC Junior Mastermind. All three performed extremely well, but Megan’s stellar performances in each nerve-racking
stage secured her a place in the final 16.
She was then quizzed on a further five questions by telephone! In early July the news came through that she
had reached the final. Her specialist
subjects were Cetaceans, Scuba Diving and The Lord of the Rings. Filming for the TV show, which is due to be
aired in the New Year, took place in early autumn. Megan is keeping mum about her performance, so you will
have to watch the programme to find out how she got on!
