Outside Learning

It is the Summer Term and that means that there is lots of outside learning going on at St Peter’s.

The girls have been loving their cricket, although sadly, matches were cancelled this week because of the appallingly cold and wet weather. However, we go out when we can!

It is so wonderful for the children to enjoy the 28 acres and those lessons outside are the ones that they remember because they are different. We have Maths, Science, Drama and a lot of Music outside at the moment with Mr Hoban enjoying the front lawn as an outside classroom for some Music lessons.

Reception was learning country dancing to an accordion last week. Absolutely perfect! As parents flick through their latest newsletter they can enjoy plenty of photos of outdoor learning, including pond dipping and outdoor map work. I’ve featured some snaps of Reception very much enjoying the new PTA funded Wild woods furniture with this article. We are currently revamping our Summer Menus with fresh and seasonal produce but thankfully there will be no mud pies on the menu!
